There is no better way to express your personality than by choosing artwork that will adorn your walls, and creating a personal collection is a wonderful opportunity to highlight your unique style. The first step, of course, is to choose the pieces that speak to you and draw you in. But once you have identified the wall art you love, how do you go about displaying them to the best of their advantage?
You could also find a wonderful art print or oversized mirror framed in reclaimed wood or metal. Large pieces like these not only make short work of large walls, they are also excellent conversation starters and can even lend added drama to a room when they cast shadows at certain times of day. Another tip is to hang similar objects in pairs or triptychs. After all, three prints are better than one when it comes to large walls.
Use these wall decorating ideas throughout your home to keep yourself visually engaged in your space every day and to take visitors on a compelling journey through your interests, loves and experiences. Is your space all set up with the perfect furniture, but still feels kind of vanilla? Do you live in a modern tract home with big, impossible walls to fill?
Our series of embellished fabric canvases create a wonderfully calm collection with just enough sparkle to create an impactful display. For asymmetrical galleries, be sure to include 1 to 2 larger scale pieces, hanging these first and then group your smaller pieces around them. The easiest way to create an effective gallery wall is to first trace around each piece onto newspaper or kraft paper, cut out the resulting shapes and using bluetack, hang the templates on the wall, moving them around until you find the best combination for your wall art display.
